  1. I loved his acting “Truly, Madly, Deeply” – that was my first time watching him perform and I took notice. Knew he had something special. I’d rather hear the sad news from you than anyone else. CNN wrote he had cancer and it was short battle. I hope he’s hanging out with Bowie and having a good time, wherever they are!

      1. I watched it just a little further up, on a 1-pound day at the Odeon in Tottenham Court Road, and came out blubbing like an idiot and fallen in love forever with Alan. I hadn’t heard this song, thank you!

  2. Sorry, one more thing – I didn’t realize that Anthony Minghella directed TMD. Here’ s a cool-looking documentary with him about the filming of “Truly, Madly, Deeply” that I’m treating myself to watch later today…

  3. RIP indeed and “Fuck” indeed. I am a huge fan of Alan Rickman’s body of work, a very talented actor perfect for drama, music, or for his flawless comedic timing. I loved him most as a villain. So, anyone for the theory of threes? Bowie, age 69. Rickman, age 69. Makes me wonder who’s next.

  4. I learned of this through this post this morning. I’m not a huge movie watcher but Rickman is one of the few actors whom would watch regardless. This news hits me harder than Bowie who only raises very complicated emotions.
